Forest landowners bear an important responsibility in managing their natural resource. Decisions are not only based on the current financial value of the standing timber, but also the impact harvesting may have on the environment and future timber values. Brookville Wood Products, Inc. has been taking genuine care of the forest, private landowners' and our own timberland, for decades. We recognize that harvesting timber can be one of the most important decisions, both preservation wise and financially, a forest landowner can make. At Brookville Wood Products, Inc. we make responsible timber purchasing a priority by establishing comprehensive guidelines for all our Timber Contracts. As a strong supporter of Pennsylvania's Sustainable Forestry Initiative, we strive to go well beyond the standards of most timber buyers.

Once the parameters for the harvest have been established, a contract will be designed to the satisfaction of the landowner and Brookville Wood Products, Inc. Landowner MarkingsOur contracts are a refreshing change from what we have grown accustomed to in recent years. there is no fine print, no "legalese" to wade through, and both parties are covered by fair and reasonable terms. The majority of the contracts span a two year period so the timber can be harvested at the best times, causing minimal land damage under the safest conditions.

Landing areas are chosen in naturally open, dry areas.

After the contract has been executed and before any timber is removed, all monies are paid in full.
